JCPenney Co., Inc. (November 1995-July 2004) I held positions of increasing authority and importance at a JCPenney retail store in Plantation, Florida. After nearly nine years with the company, I was laid off following the elimination of my position. During all my years there, I also maintained and trouble-shot the in-store information resources, including the incredibly antiquated POS system, still employed by JCPenney to this day. The positions I held are enumerated below:
Walt Disney World Resort (May 2001-January 2002) During the above mentioned leave of absence from my employment with JCPenney, I completed an internship through the Walt Disney World College Program in Orlando, Florida. I worked in a quick-service food restaurant in the Magic Kingdom theme park that was quite a busy location. I held the position of General Teller for most of my time there, which entailed the management of the fixed funds on location. It also entailed the supervision of the operation of the entire restaurant, as the management team was rarely present to offer any leadership. I parted on good terms with the company upon the expiration of my internship contract. |
